BOOKING A CUSTOM CAKE


Wedding Cakes and large event cakes should be booked at least 8 weeks in advance, but can be booked up to 1 year in advance. All other cakes should be booked 2-4 weeks in advance, orders submitted within 7 days are considered rush orders and may be subject to an additional rush order fee. It is recommended that you reserve your cake as soon as you have decided on a design. We only book a limited number of cakes per week so that we can give our utmost attention to the detail and design of every order. We cannot guarantee your reservation until a cake contract and deposit has been received.




CAKE PRICING EXPLAINED


A few things to consider before you order a Custom Cake, Pastries or Desserts here are a few things to remember:

  • Anything that is custom made is going to cost more.
  • Commercial Cakes, Pastries and Desserts are NOT the same as Custom Gourmet Cakes, Pastries and Desserts.
  • When you order a cake it’s not just cake! It’s time, it’s talent, it is art and expertise. It is taking your idea, your vision, and bringing it to life with skill and dedication.
  • It is freshness and quality, pastries baked from scratch or frostings and fillings made with fresh for you. It is NOT made in mass production and frozen for months.
  • It is supplies, tools (lots and lots of them) and equipment.
  • It is utilities like electricity, gas and water.
  • It is taxes and licensure and insurance.
  • It is time and passion. Passion for creating and a love and dedication to the craft! Custom Cakes, Pastries and Desserts, take time and an acquired set of skills.
  • What you get most of all is Love. Those of us in the Cake Decorating




CAKE REPLICA & COPYRIGHT


All designs provided by V2 Baked, are sole property and cannot be sold or transferred to another baker without our written approval. We cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work but will ensure the look is similar with a final design that will be unique. We will make every effort to provide exactly the details you have requested but please keep in mind that the creation of a cake is an art and may be subject to slight variations and/or errors by the creator(s), including colors.




CAKE TASTINGS


Cake tastings are available for events of 70 guests or more and there is a $25.00 session fee. However, if you choose to place your custom cake order with V2 Bakes, we will credit your order the session fee. The tasting session includes up to four flavor samples for up to four guests, additional guests require a $5 fee per person. Tastings should be scheduled no less than 5 weeks prior to your event date to allow sufficient time to coordinate and finalize your order. Tasting sessions can last anywhere from one to two hours depending on the number of attendees and amount of details that may need to be discussed. Basic information pertaining to your event such as the event theme, colors and design will be discussed in detail so that a quote could be provided to you within 24 hours. Everyone is endowed with their own unique creativity, we ask thay you bring anything that you may have as inspiration for your cake that reflects your event theme (s) such as colors, fabric samples, photos, invitations, etc. We cannot duplicate an exact copy of another cake artist’s work but will ensure the look is similar with a final design that will be unique. We will make every effort to provide exactly the details you have requested but please keep in mind that the creation of a cake is an art and may be subject to slight variations and/or errors by the creator(s), including colors.




DEPOSITS & CANCELLATIONS


An initial 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a cake or event order. Deposits are non-refundable unless you cancel at least sixty (60) days prior to the event, in that case fifty percent (50%) of your deposit will be refunded. No refunds will be given after that date.




DIETARY RESTRICTIONS


We are NOT a nut free kitchen, if you or your guests have allergies it is critical that you notify us prior to placing your order. If you have any other dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will do our best to try and accommodate them.




DELIVERY & PICK UP


Free delivery for orders of $75 or more that fall within a 10 mile radius of our location. Delivery fees are based on delivery location and start at $0.75 per mile. Our delivery and pick please contact us for more information about delivery. Once an order is no longer in our care (delivered or picked up), we take no responsibility for any damage incurred. If picking up a cake please be sure to place your cake on a flat surface in your vehicle, it is not recommended that cakes be held on the seat of a vehicle or in a persons lap as these are unstable surfaces.




EVENT SET UP


It is the clients responsibility to provide a stable and level surface at least four feet off the ground where a cake is to be set up. Cakes are safest when they are displayed against a wall. Once the cake has been delivered and set up, the care and condition of the cake becomes your responsibility. V2 Baked is not liable for any damage that may occur thereafter, including someone bumping the table, a stand or table breaking or collapsing, child damage, or any other possible causes or environmental affects that may damage the cake.




INGREDIENTS


We are plant based (VEGAN) which means we DO NOT USE any ingredients that contain animal products such as animal milks, eggs, gelatin or butter etc. We use unbleached flour with King Arthur being our preferred brand for their high quality. Our preferred fondant is Satin Ice which is vegan, gluten free, nut free, dairy free, trans fat free and Kosher and our marshmallow fondant is made in-house.




MEDIA


V2 Baked, reserves the right to take and use our own photos of your cake/dessert(s) to use for marketing and promotional purposes, including advertising and promotion without your permission or compensation to you.




ORDER MODIFICATIONS


We will do our best to accommodate any changes that are made seven (7) days before the order due date for cakes; all other pastries and desserts may vary. Please note that extra charges may apply to last minute changes.




OUTDOOR LOCATIONS


Humidity and heat can adversely affect your cake, espcially here in Florida. In the warmer months, it is recommended the cake be kept in air conditioning or, at the very least, a cool area. Cakes should never be displayed in direct sunlight or anywhere sunlight might eventually move. Please prepare a back-up plan in case of inclement weather. Determine someplace safe where the cake can be displayed indoors on exceedingly hot days or in case of rain. Fondant covered cakes sweat from the heat, it is sugar after all. Caked covered in fondant or fondant embellishments can become shiny and the colors can possibly run due to the heat and humidity. It is strongly recommended that cakes being picked up by the customer be transported in an air-conditioned vehicle and if you transport it, you are responsible for any damage once it leaves our possession. You acknowledge that V2 Baked is in no way responsible for any damage that may occur due to weather conditions or outdoor locations including heat, humidity or insects or human error.




PACKAGING


In an effort to be as eco friendly and environmentally conscious as possible we use boxes and paper bags to package our pastries. We try to refrain from using plastic whenever possbile. If your pastries require storage in a sealed container we recommend you transfer to your preffered container after purchase.




PAYMENT


Payments accepted via Cash, Cashiers or Certified Check, Transfer with Zelle and Credit/Debit Card via square. A convenience fee of 3.5% of the total will be applied to your order for credit/Debit card payments. Final payment is due ten (10) days before the event date or maybe subject to rush order fees or cancellation of order. We reserve the right to cancel your order if payment is not received by the due date.




ORDER TIMELINE REQUIREMENTS


*CUSTOM CAKES We only take a limited number of cake orders at a time so it is important to book your cake as soon as possible to ensure we can reserve the date. Some cake details can take days or even weeks to create. Our cakes are always made fresh from scratch, created especially for each client. Custom cake orders require a 50% deposit to reserve the date and the remaining balance is due 10 days prior to your even date. If the order is placed within ten days full payment is required at the time of order. *DESSERT CAKES Please order your dessert cakes at *least* 48 hours in advance, we only accept a limited number of orders per week so the sooner your order is received the better. *COOKIES, CUPCAKES OR DESSERTS Please note that all orders are prepared fresh to order. Order processing times are as follows: 1-2 Dozen, place order a minimum of one (1) days in advance. 3-6 Dozen place order a minimum of two (2) days in advance. 7-10 Dozen place order a minimum of five (5) days in advance. More than 10 dozen place order a minimum of seven (7) days in advance. *PARTY PACKAGES Reserve party packages at least 10 days in advance, we only accept a limited number of orders per week so the sooner your order is received the better. Party package orders require a 50% deposit to reserve the date and the remaining balance is due 10 days prior to your even date. If the order is placed within ten days full payment is required at the time of order.
